Before you met Nicole what were your main struggles when it came to your professional wardrobe?
I hadn’t put much effort into my wardrobe for a number of years and felt in a rut. I had a lot of clothes but still found it difficult to put outfits together, and defaulted to safe, boring options most days which made me feel like I was rather letting myself down. I especially struggled to dress for smart/formal occasions as I was lacking some essential foundation pieces. I wanted to be smarter and more “grown-up” but didn’t really know what shops to go to, so often ended up buying the same sorts of things from the same familiar places.
What have you gained from this experience and what positive outcomes has it had on your life?
I feel I’ve learned a lot about how to shop and dress for my personal style in really quite a short space of time. Some of it seems quite obvious in hindsight (e.g. first work out what colours suit you and try and stick to that palette) but Nicole really helped focus the mind. I’ve looked and felt miles better since our shopping spree, even when wearing clothes I already owned thanks to her advice on how to make the best of them.
It really makes a huge difference to your day when you step out of the door knowing that you look good. I feel like I now have the wardrobe to suit my lifestyle and personality.
Would you recommend Nicole? Why?
Absolutely. I hesitated over the expense but I do believe it is a worthwhile investment in myself. I was amazed at how quickly Nicole understood what I wanted and how to achieve it. She is so self-assured, it is impossible not to be infused by her confidence when you are with her. She is assertive and no-nonsense but also kind and funny. She encouraged me to get things I wouldn’t have chosen myself but did not push me to buy anything I didn’t absolutely love. She told me she loves what she does and I really believe her - it is plain to see in the way she goes about it.
