Before you met Nicole what were your main struggles when it came to your wardrobe?
Before I met Nicole, my wardrobe was a bit of a shambles, almost entirely navy and black. I didn’t understand what suited me, or what image I was trying to present and my clothes and I were confused. Fit, form and colour were all out of whack and I would panic buy items before events, usually from various train stations as I made my way to or from work. I found myself dressing older than my years at work in an attempt to appear ‘in charge’ and then at weekends dressing like an overgrown teenager. It was stressful and expensive, and I never looked pulled together. Ugh.
What have you gained from this experience and what positive outcomes has it had on your life?
Where to start? I now understand how to dress in a modern and sophisticated way, and getting ready in the morning is a joy. I feel so much more confident, and look ‘polished’ yet still feel fully myself. This has been a great help at work in countering impostor syndrome which took hold after a recent promotion. My new outfits really help me to ‘own the room’. It’s been a great reminder that I can and should take up space and have some fun with the way I look. I have had so many compliments from people - apparently I look taller, younger and healthier! Although it required an initial outlay in time and money I can already see great returns on that investment - it saves me time every morning, and money every month as I’m no longer panic buying. When I have been back in the shops I’ve known which colours and shapes to focus on, and where the gaps are in my wardrobe which I need to fill. This has been an entirely positive experience and I can’t wait to work with Nicole again for my summer wardrobe.
Would you recommend Nicole? Why?
Absolutely yes, 100%! Nicole is an absolute gem of a human - warm, knowledgeable, funny, talented, patient, inspiring and a great teacher too! The whole process from start to finish was a delight, and from the first phone call I knew that I was going to learn a lot from an absolute pro. Nicole really takes the time to listen and understand the brief. She puts you at ease, and brings so much joy to the process. Working with Nicole has been a privilege, and a fantastic investment of time and money. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
